The SB-631 R1 (HD) Heavy-Duty Grey Cast-Iron Surface Box is manufactured in accordance with
ASTM A48 material standards and meets the BS EN 124 design requirements for manhole and handhole
covers.

It features a cylindrical body with a large circular top cover, incorporating a recessed seating surface and
a flanged base for stability. The surface box has a clear opening of 280 mm Ø, an overall base diameter
of 370 mm Ø, and a depth of 140 mm, suitable for heavy-duty load applications.

Operational features include a single key hole, a single vent hole (10 mm Ø), and a dual locking device
for security. The cover is secured to the box with a stainless-steel chain to prevent misplacement during
maintenance or operation.

The unit is finished with a coaltar epoxy protective coating to enhance corrosion resistance and extend
service life. Each cover bears a permanent cast-in inscription showing the manufacturer’s name,
production batch number, utility identification (W – مياه) in both Arabic and English, load class,
applicable standard, and country of origin, ensuring traceability and compliance verification.

This product satisfies all specified project requirements in terms of material grade, dimensional
conformity, load performance, operational features, corrosion protection, and permanent identification
markings.
